All Nagaland College Students’ Union serves reminder to minister on scholarship
ANCSU urged the minister to urgently engage with the central ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for the early release and disbursement of the pending 2nd installment (remaining 25%) of Post Matric Scholarship ST for the year 2023-2024.
- DIMAPUR — The All
Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has sought immediate intervention of
the Higher Education’s minister on matter pertaining to the pending 2nd
installment (remaining 25%) of Post Matric Scholarship ST for the year
2023-2024.
- In a reminder, ANCSU urged the minister to urgently engage
with the central ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for the early
release and disbursement of the pending 2nd installment (remaining 25%) of Post
Matric Scholarship ST for the year 2023-2024. It stated that no positive
development was made towards the genuine issue being raised even after the
lapsed of more than 90 days.
- ANCSU expressed discontentment and frustration to the
department concerned and state government for failing to address the needs of
the student community.
- While understanding that certain issues require certain time
and period, the union reiterated its stand not to remain as mute observers when
the welfare of the students are deliberately disregarded and turned a blind
eye.
- In light of the above stated circumstances, ANCSU urged the
minister to take up timely action in order to avoid any confrontation.
