Kohima, Nov. 25 (EMN):
The ‘E-collegiate meet-cum-beat contest 2020’ of the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU), which is scheduled to be held on December 14 and the 15th, is expected to attract more than one thousand participants.

Briefing media persons in Kohima on Wednesday, the ANCSU executives informed that this is the first time the event will be conducted virtually owing to the ongoing pandemic.

The event is being organised by Polytechnic College, Kohima.

Vice president of ANCSU, Inato Y Chisho has urged students to participate in the event, saying that the platform will help them share their ideas, visions and talents as well as adapt to the new way of learning and catch up with the digital trends.

He added that this is an opportunity for students to choose new ideas.

The competition is open to 39 colleges affiliated with ANCSU.

The games and sport secretary of the union, Tenyesinlo Bukh, informed that the event is organised once in two years with an aim to encourage and promote the talents of students in different activities. 

It was after thorough deliberations that the union finally decided to organise the two-day event via online and will be live streamed on the union’s social media handles.

The virtual activities and competitions to be conducted during the event are: football freestyle challenge, basketball freestyle challenge, online chess, slam poetry, essay, photography, painting, quiz, original song composition, beat contest, folk fusion, finest innovation and designing, and film-craft competition, he added.
