Dimapur, May 16 (EMN): Total restriction of “all movement” from Patkai Bridge to Pakala Pahar (Kukidolong) Bridge in Chumoukedima area will be enforced from May 20 to June 20. The duration of restriction will be from 10.30 pm to 5 am.
In an order issued on Thursday, the deputy commissioner of Dimapur stated that the curb would be imposed to allow earth-cutting works for the four-lane project in said stretch.
“The restriction of movement is regretted, however, to avoid loss of life, property and other injuries, this restriction has been imposed as a preventive measure,” read the order.
Alternative route for light vehicles only—travelling between Dimapur and Kohima—would be available via 7th Mile-New DC Office-Shokhuvi-Razaphe-Mhaikam-Pimla-Mhainamtsi-Jharnaparni/Medziphema, and vice versa.
