Dimapur, March 10 (EMN): The 74th All India Railway Football Championship kicked started at the Maligaon Railway stadium and Pandu football stadium in Maligaon.
Sanjeve Roy, general manager, N. F. Railway who was the chief guest of the event inaugurated the championship in presence of players, railway officials and spectators. 12 teams are participating in the championship which will conclude on March 19.
In the first match of the championship, Southern Railway defeated North Western Railway 8-0 while in another match Eastern Railway defeated ICF 2-1.
