Alder College celebrates annual cultural day

DIMAPUR — Alder College, Kohima, celebrated its 7th annual cultural day on the theme ‘Embracing our similarities, celebrating our differences,’ on Friday.

The event showcased a variety of traditional performances, consisting of songs and dances, and a special highlight of the event was the traditional attires that adorned both the participants and the spectators, an update stated.

The event also witnessed the rich and vibrant colours of different tribes and ethnic groups come together beautifully.

Director of Art and Culture department, Adela Moa, the guest of honour, in her address, appreciated the theme which emphasised celebrating differences.

Citing the Hornbill Festival, she said that cultural events can bring Nagas together. The event also featured traditional games and a cultural feast.
