Albert and Shoko win Sei Bagei race

Correspondent Kohima, October 13 Albert Yepthomi and Shoko Kent emerged as the winners of Sei Bagei (indigenous cart) race competition organized by Royal Club Kohima in commemoration of its silver jubilee on Saturday. The race was held at Billy Graham road with Kohima College as the starting point and New Secretariat Gate as finishing point. The duo received cash award of Rs.10,000 while runners-up Lhiwupe Keyho and Sesote Keyhao received Rs. 5,000. Thirteen competitors below 15 years participated in the indigenous cart race covering a distance of around 2 km. Earlier, Royal Club president Atuolie Mepfhii-o flagged off the race at the starting point while prizes and certificates were given away by the club’s vice president.
