Nineteen-year old Akumla Imsong was crowned Miss Mokokchung in a glittering ceremony that was held on Nov. 19 in the town hall of Mokokchung.
Imsong also bagged the Miss Perfect 10 title.
The contest was organised by Forerunners.
“Both beauty and brain are essential, but a woman with brain can utilise everything in her brain for the success of the society,” was Akumla Imsong’s answer in the final question for the event.
Imsong walked home richer by INR 25,000 and gift hampers worth more than INR one lakh and gift hampers from Johnny D Ascoli Salon worth INR 20,000. She will be the brand ambassador for the child education programme Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in the district.
The first runner-up title was bagged by Arpana Lama (20 years). She won the Miss Personality title too. She received a cash prize of INR 15000 and gift hampers worth more than INR 70,000 and gift hampers from Johnny D Ascoli Salon worth INR 20,000.
The second runner-up was bagged by Imnanaro (21 years). She received a cash prize of INR 10000 along with gift hampers worth more than INR 50,000 and gift hampers from Johnny D Ascoli Salon worth INR 20,000.
Other individual subtitles winners were Miss Beautiful Skin and Miss Queen of hearts Arenienla, Miss Ramp Walk Apokla Pongen, and Miss Vivacious Imkumnaro Ozukum. The Miss Talented title had two winners Imolemla and Imkumnaro Ozukum.
Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, minister for H&TE and Tribal Affairs, also attended the event.
The judges were chief judge Imsulemla Yanger, and Allen Mark, Rhanchobeni, Moamenla Longkumer and Sentinaro Lcr.
