Akuluto, V.K. area to blockade NHs from Aug 17

Dimapur, August 14 (EMN): A group of public organisations under Akuluto and VK area have resolved to block all the highways within its jurisdiction starting from August 17 as a protest against to restore NH-702 (A). The organisation namely the Akuluto Area GB’s Association, Akuluto Town GB’s Council, VK Area GB’s Association, VK area Public organisation, Akuluto Range Students’ Union and VK Range Students’ Union have stated today that it has reaffirmed its earlier stand to impose indefinite bandh. The affected roads are National Highway 02 from Izheto Village to Doyang Bridge V.K.Town and National Highway 702 ( A) from Sümi Settsü village to Zünheküta Akuluto Town. It also stated that security forces , patients on medical ground will be exempted from the preview of bandh. The bandh is set to start from 6 in the morning on August 17.
