Akehda Amulung holds a coordination meeting in Shishimi village for an upcoming beekeeping training programme.
DIMAPUR — Akehda Amulung held a coordination meeting with the village council and elders of Shishimi village in Kiphire district on September 19 regarding the upcoming inaugural programme of the Beekeeping Training Programme for Livelihood Promotion.
The training programme is funded by the North Eastern Council (NEC) and implemented by Akehda Amulung, Kiphire. The inaugural programme is tentatively scheduled for September 26 at Shishimi village.
Speaking during the meeting, the council chairman and head gaon bura of Shishimi village expressed gratitude for the programme, stating that the initiative would benefit the village, and expressed hope for a successful partnership and journey ahead.
Longtili C Sangtam, founder of Akehda Amulung, stated that the programme is aimed at creating additional income opportunities for the people of Shishimi village. He said beekeeping can provide a sustainable source of income and help strengthen local livelihoods.
He further stated that the project will be monitored by the CEO of Akehda Amulung, Irothe T Sangtam, who will oversee the implementation and progress of the programme.
