DIMAPUR — Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of “Priority Postpaid,” a new service powered by 5G slicing technology aimed at delivering a more consistent and reliable network experience for postpaid users.
According to the company, the service is designed for customers who rely heavily on uninterrupted connectivity for work, entertainment, and online collaboration. Airtel said it has upgraded its 5G network with advanced slicing capabilities to improve network efficiency, create additional capacity, and allocate that capacity intelligently for priority users.
The company stated that by dynamically segmenting network capacity, Priority Postpaid will provide a stable and dependable experience for postpaid customers even during periods of high network traffic.
Airtel said similar slicing-based 5G services have already been introduced in countries such as the United States, Singapore, United Kingdom and Malaysia.

It provides a superior, more reliable, and dependable experience to our customers — whether they are attending a client call in traffic, streaming at a packed concert, or booking a cab in a crowded market.”
The Priority service will be available to customers across all Airtel postpaid plans. Existing postpaid users will receive the benefit automatically, while prepaid customers can switch to Priority Postpaid through the Airtel Thanks app or by visiting Airtel stores.
Customers can access the service on 5G standalone (SA)-enabled smartphones with the latest software updates. Airtel also said users can check device compatibility and readiness for the service through the Airtel app.
