Aida undertakes Covid relief drive

Aida officials give away relief items to needy persons in Dimapur.

Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Anma Integrated Development Association (Aida), a planning and development office of the Saleisans of Don Bosco, Dimapur province, carried out Covid relief distribution drive at Khermahal and Burma Camp areas in Dimapur on June 24 and the25th.

An update from the organisation stated that the dry ration relief was to provide basic help to those families who are reeling from financial crisis amid the pandemic and because of the continuous lockdown. The beneficiaries of the relief included daily wage earners, domestic workers, construction labourers, rickshaw pullers etc.

It added that the beneficiaries were identified through a survey done by the Aida staff with the help of the community leaders. It further stated that a total of 147 households have benefited from the food relief.
