Dimapur, Dec. 18 (EMN): The Don Bosco Tech Aida Centre conducted a graduation ceremony for its graduating 31st batch of the centre’s Skill Training for Unemployed Youth programme. The batch’s session began on October 9 this year with 31 trainees, updates stated.
The training programme concluded on December 18, it was informed. All the trainees have received placement offers, the organisers informed in a press release.
The Don Bosco Tech Aida Centre issued a press release to the media on Wednesday informing about the programme.
The district education officer of Dimapur R Amongla Jamir attended the occasion as it special guest. She congratulated the trainees while reminding them that “you are no more unemployed now as you have a job in hand and it is a great achievement.”
According to the education official, “We Nagas are educated but are unemployed. The reason is that we often look for white collar jobs. Now you are trained. So you should give your best to satisfy your guests. You all are equally trained but the difference between one of you and the others is your sacrifices and sincerity that you will give in your work.”
Jamir then urged parents to “encourage your children in doing something, which they are good at.”
Further, the placement coordinator for Don Bosco Tech at Dimapur, Anita Kapuh, congratulated the trainees and appreciated the parents for sending their children to the skill training programme. She urged the candidates saying that “everyone is in a learning process. So, as you step out, make a good name for yourself, for family and for the institute with right attitude.”
According to the updates, most of the candidates were from economically poor backgrounds and with minimum education qualifications. However, 75 days of intense training has prepared them to work in corporate environments, the organisers stated.
The centre will start work on its 32nd batch on January 20 2020. Training is provided in the food and beverages and beauty sectors, the organisers informed.
