
AIDA-Don Bosco, Dimapur, on February 17 provided relief to February 16 fire victims at K Sachu Colony in Dimapur.
AIDA-Don Bosco has provided blankets, bed sheets, pressure cookers, frying pans and school bags for the children to more than 40 households, an update from the organisation stated.
On February 16, a massive fire broke out at K Sachu Colony, Dimapur, wherein more than 20 houses were razed to the ground and rendered more than 40 families homeless. Though no loss of life was reported in the accident, all the belongings of the victims were reduced to ashes.
The fire, which broke out within the locality at about 10 am on February 16, engulfed the houses within a few minutes and the victims could not save anything except the clothes they were wearing. No household property belonging to anyone could be saved.
It mentioned that the affected people are currently taking shelter in K Sachu Primary School, Dimapur.
