DIMAPUR — A two-day training on 'office management and accounts matters' was organised at the Directorate of Agriculture, Kohima, for the staff of all Agriculture establishments in the state.
The training was held on June 18 and 19 in two batches, aimed at enhancing and updating the staff's knowledge on accounts, service matters, PIMS, Nagaland Government Service Conduct Rules, office procedures including filing systems, noting and drafting, and maintenance of service books, according to a press release.
In the inaugural programme, M Ben Yanthan, Director of Agriculture, emphasised the importance of the training, stating that it is necessary for updating the skills required to effectively fulfil their duties and responsibilities.
Additional Director of Agriculture, C Peter Yanthan, stated in his speech that this kind of training is crucial for both technical and non-technical staff. He urged the trainees to refresh their knowledge and execute their duties with integrity.
The resource persons for the training were officials from Personnel and Administrative Reforms and the Principal Accountant General.
