- DIMAPUR — State
Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Medziphema,
has organised a two-day training programme on “Soil health management and soil
health card in agriculture” on February 4 and 5.
- An update from SAMETI stated that Dr. Sentimenla, assistant
professor of Soil Science at NU: SAS, Medziphema campus, and Dr. Vizokhonyu
Yhome, lecturer of Agriculture at IETC, Medziphema, have emphasised on soil
health and fertility management and importance of bio-fertilizer.
- It stated that the participants were also taken for a field
visit to Soil and Water Conservation Training Institute in Zubza.
- The valedictory programme was chaired by Janet Chishi,
deputy project director of SAMETI.
- It added that a total of 25 ATMA functionaries attended the
training.
