Dimapur, August 5 (EMN): Following a series of meetings with the general public, GBs, VCCs, VDB secretaries, union executives and prominent leaders of Aghunato on between July 29 to August 3, under the aegis of the Eastern Sumi Students’ union (ESSU), the union has adopted the following resolution to be implemented in letter and spirit within Aghunato jurisdiction.
1. All Government offices under Aghunato jurisdiction shall run within the respective office buildings and not as usual practice of running office from the officer’s residences elsewhere outside Aghunato. Strict disciplinary action shall be taken against those defaulting officers or employees.
2. Starting from September, any officers or government employees under Aghunato jurisdiction if found absent from work, the ESSU shall initiate its own course of actions and shall not be held any liability, obligation or responsibility whatsoever for any eventuality in the course of action taken against the defaulting individuals. The union shall inspect and check the attendance in its own convenience time without any prior information.
3) Inorder to oversee developmental activities and to check any leakages of funds and provide coherence for the smooth implementation of the government welfare schemes under Aghunato jurisdiction, Public Grievances Cell has been set up.
The Public Grievances Cell consisted of 10 members for a term of two years which may be extended by the ESSU.
The members are- incumbent president ESSU ex-officio convenor; preceding ex-president, ESSU ex-officio tribunal general; president of GBs Association Aghunato, ex-officio member; president of STH Aghunato, ex-officio member; incumbent vice-president ESSU, ex officio member; incumbent general secretary, ESSU ex officio member; Kitoho Chophy, former president of Tizu Island; Qhuhoto Yeptho, SKK deputy speaker; Inahoto Swu, former president ESSU; and Hekuto Anche, former SKK representative to NSF.
