Aghunaqa Area GBs Association celebrates golden jubilee on November 28 with Minister Jacob Zhimomi urging GBs to remain steadfast in public service.

DIMAPUR — The Aghunaqa Kükami Kuqhakulu (Aghunaqa Area GBs Association) under Niuland district celebrated its golden jubilee on November 28 with Minister of Public Health Engineering Department and Cooperation Jacob Zhimomi as the special guest.
According to an update, attending the occasion, the minister underscored the importance of the GB institution.
Reminding them that they are the bridge between the government and the public, Zhimomi stated that their relevance cannot be undermined. He urged them to adapt to changing times while remaining rooted in tradition.

He encouraged the GBs to remain steadfast in their commitment to public service and welfare. As grassroots representatives, he appealed to them to represent the people's interests above everything else.
Noting that the Aghunaqa area, encompassing 39 villages, is rapidly developing, he credited the public for their cooperation. On the occasion, the minister also unveiled the golden jubilee monolith.
Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, Sarah S Jamir, unveiled the jubilee souvenir, while Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema, ES Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu, offered the dedicatory prayer.
