- KIPHIRE — A part
of Saturday activities, students from classes 8 to 12 of Agape Higher Secondary
School (AHSS) on March 29 had a session with Tia Jamir, hair stylist and proprietor
of Yangtsa Saloon, at the school auditorium in Kiphire town.
- Sharing personal experiences, Tia said he had struggled a
lot to equip himself with the art he now has and added that “there is no one
who can make you a better person other than you.”
- Tia informed that he was also into dancing, tattoo artist,
artist and worked in company. He added that there are lots of opportunities for
people who have vision and should never give up in their pursuit for career.
- Tia said that he has clients from around 30 countries and
also done hair styling to some Bollywood actors and models in the country. He
further stressed on ethics, values and techniques of business and added that
each one needs to be skilled in certain trait for survival.
- Meanwhile, the school’s administrator encouraged the
students to explore avenues in entrepreneurship for self-employment.
