
Sethrongkyu H Sangtam submitting proposal to Ashwini
Vaishnaw for setting up IT Park in Nagaland on April 9.
- DIMAPUR — The
advisor of Information Technology and Communication, Sethrongkyu H Sangtam,
called on the Union Minister of Electronics and IT and Railways, Government of
India, Ashwini Vaishnaw at his office chamber in New Delhi on April 9 and
submitted a proposal for setting up IT Park in Nagaland.
- During the course of interaction, the Union Minister has
assured to take up the issue of setting up IT Park in Nagaland on priority for
consideration and approval.

- A DIPR report stated that the world class infrastructure of
Software Technology Park of India (STPI) set up at Kohima is providing various
facilities and infrastructures to the local youths and entrepreneurs. It,
however, pointed out that the state is still lacking IT Park infrastructure,
which is needed to boost economic activity as well as attract IT industries in
the state.
