Students' Union cultural event in Dimapur on January 12.
In his speech, Sethrongkyü encouraged the students to learn
from the example of Rome, which began small but progressed through discipline
and teamwork. He reminded them that beginnings are challenging, but with
persistence, success is achievable.
He urged everyone to work together to bring about change, as
no one else will do it for them. He also advised the students not to be
discouraged by criticism and to remain true to their identity.
Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor for Industry and Commerce,
encouraged the youth to pursue success, noting that true success comes from
achieving personal goals, not merely material wealth.
She emphasised the importance of hard work, stating that
talent alone is not enough without dedication. She assured young people and
entrepreneurs of her department's support in their endeavours.
TS Meren, president of the Western Sangtam Peoples
Organisation, reminded students not to forget their religion and identity
despite academic achievements. He stressed the need for quality education, both
formal and informal, in today’s competitive world.
