- KOHIMA — Advisor for Prisons, Printing and
Stationery, Kropol Vitsu, along with R&B officials and supporting teams, on
Saturday conducted an on-site inspection of the landslide-affected NH-2 stretch
between Kohima and Mao Gate, as well as the alternate ODR route from Kezoma to
Kidima, to expedite restoration efforts.

- “The National Highway-2 serves as a vital link between
Nagaland and Manipur, and the recent landslide has significantly disrupted
connectivity and caused logistical challenges,” an update stated.
- The inspection aimed to assess the progress of ongoing
restoration efforts and ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders
involved.
- The visiting team commended the engineers’ tireless efforts
to restore the damaged road and revive public movement and supply transport.

- “It is commendable to
see the commitment and hard work of the engineers and workers at the site. I

- Meanwhile, the administration reaffirmed its commitment to

restoration in the shortest possible time.
