Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Advisor of fire & emergency services, SIRD, relief & rehabilitation, Pohwang Konyak, inaugurated a Government High School and KGBV girl’s hostel building in Phomching town on December 14.
Speaking on the occasion, the advisor requested the villagers to maintain the school building properly and also encouraged them to support and invite suggestions for development in the area.
Director of school education, Wongthungo Tsopoe, requested the villagers sand students to render cooperation with the teachers.
Deputy commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K, called upon the village councils and students bodies to check proxy teaching.
SDO (C) Phomching, James T Khulu Tikhir delivered the welcome address. The programme was chaired by Chingmei Konyak and Wangnyem Konyak pronounced the vote of thanks.
In a separate programme, Pohwang Konyak inaugurated police out-post building in Phomching on December 14.
Speaking on the occasion, Pohwang Konyak said police station was established to give protection to the people. He said the police station in Phomching was necessary as it is located in between Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Myanmar. He encouraged the villagers to cooperate with the police personnel.
SP Mon, Imnalensa, delivered the welcome address and the additional SP, Mon, S Lanu Aier, chaired the programme.
Wangchem, Head GB of Phomching, delivered short speech and ASI Kughato in-charge of Phomching police out-post delivered the vote of thanks.
