DIMAPUR — The PA Sangma International Medical College and Hospital (PIMC), under the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), has opened admissions for its MBBS programme for the academic session 2025–26.

PIMC, launched in October 2024, is a constituent college of USTM. It has been positioned as one of the emerging institutions for medical education in Northeast India, offering modern infrastructure and a curriculum focused on academic and community health, an update stated.

Chancellor of USTM Mahbubul Hoque said the university was expanding its role in the healthcare sector. “Our journey in healthcare began with the University Hospital of Ayurveda & Naturopathy. Now, with PIMC, we’re taking a bold step into mainstream medical education,” he stated.

USTM is the only private university from Northeast India to receive an ‘A’ grade from NAAC at the first instance of accreditation, and was ranked among the top 200 universities in India in the NIRF 2024 rankings.

PIMC is expected to serve as a centre for both medical education and patient care, attracting candidates from across the country, the update stated.
