Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): The district election officer of Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel has informed that form 12A can be obtained from the Election Duty Certificate (EDC) Cell at the deputy commissioner’s office in Dimapur during the training programme on May 19 at the Dimapur Government College. A press release from the department of Information and Public Relations informed on Thursday.
The notification is said to have been applicable to all the government employees, registered as a voter in any one of the five assembly segments, and requisitioned for election duty for Dimapur district during the by-elections to the Lok Sabha, and for those who wish to exercise their franchise through the EDC.
Further, DEO informed that the last date of submission of form along with photocopy of election duty derailment order, service identity card or epic is on May 21.
Mokokchung: The Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of Mokokchung, Longdiba L Sangtam has informed all the polling personnel, police personnel, drivers etc., who were assigned in election duty that the form-12A will be issued from May 17 onwards. The application will be available at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, District Election Officer’s office, and the training venue of Polling Personnel in Mokokchung. The last date for submission of the form will be on May 22, after which no application for EDC will be accepted.
Mon: The deputy commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K informed that the application form for Election Duty Certificate (EDC) Form 12A, for all the polling duty personnel, registered as voters in Mon district will be issued on May 15 at the EDC cell, DC Office in Mon.
A press release on Thursday mentioned that, filled up Form 12A along with photocopy of duty list or requisition order (for drivers) and govt. ID card will have to be submitted to EDC cell on May 21 on or before 2 pm. EDC will be issued between May 24 and 27 at 2 pm.
The updates informed that forms are liable to be rejected for incorrect entries.
