Kohima, July 24 (DIPR): Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Temjen Toy, IAS, on 24th July 2017, has notified that in accordance to section 135 B of the Representation of the People’s Act, 1951 and in view of the by-election to the 10-Northern Angami–I (ST) Assembly Constituency under Kohima district, on July 29, 2017, all establishments including Government offices and shops shall remain closed in the area falling under the said constituency on the day of poll.
The notification further stated that paid holiday will be granted to all employees in the area of the constituency, including those electors working outside the constituency in order to enable them to participate and exercise their franchise.
Expenditure and Monitoring team constituted
Another press note from the Assistant Director Excise Kohima K. Zeliang stated that Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition has nominated officers for the Election Expenditure and Monitoring duty in and around Kohima and Peducha Check gate on account of the by-election.
The officers assigned for the Kohima Town are, Neiziezolie, Vipral Taste, Inspector and Akum Jamir, Asst Inspector of Excise; and Pusukhung and Zaselatuo,Assistant Inspector of Exicise (I/C) and Constable 2nd (I/C) respectively are assigned for the Peducha Check-gate.
