Additional Deputy Commissioner & Administrator of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), Bendanglila, has informed all concerned residential permit holders to renew their permit within one month of the expiry of their respective permit.
She stated that late fine of Rs 50 would be imposed for every period of late renewal.
She also informed that construction of buildings within the municipal area irrespective of government departments or private should obtain construction permit from MMC.
All electrical shops within MMC jurisdiction are also directed not to sell sub-standard electrical wire, gadgets and productive devices/ MCBs etc. She said surprise checking of the shops would be conducted jointly by the power department and MMC. The order would come into effect with immediate effect and remain till further orders.
In a separate statement, ADC & Administrator MMC reminded all the residents of Mokokchung town not to throw garbage and solid waste into the culvert/ drains.
She said Mokokchung town had witnessed maximum blocked drains and culverts within the last few weeks, which could trigger landslides and erosion and may even lead to massive disaster.
She requested to all the responsible residents to dump all solid waste into the designated dumping area/ boxes only.
