Adapt to change in work system, Sukhalu tells dept staff

Staff Reporter DIMAPUR, MARCH 31 THE Department of Food & Civil Supplies (F&CS) today bade farewell to Commissioner and Secretary KT Sukhalu at the Directorate premises in Dimapur. In his farewell address, the retiring bureaucrat urged the departmental staff to be examples of sincerity and dedication in discharging their responsibilities.He said to perform efficiently the staff will have to adapt to changes in the system and improve coordination amongst the departmental staff. “If you don’t coordinate, there will be lots of problems,” said Sukhalu, who had an illustrious career of 32 years and three months in government service. Speaking at the occasion, Additional Secretary of F&CS, H Lungalang lauded the Sukhalu for his leadership in bringing many changes during his years as a government servant. He praised Sukhalu as being a dynamic officer and an amiable person who was open to all. The Director F&CS, Sedevikho Khro, and representatives from district and field staff also delivered farewell speeches. KT Sukhalu, joined the government service as an EAC on December 19, 1981. He was inducted to IAS cadre on April 19, 2004 and has held various portfolios before his retirement on superannuation. Earlier, the outgoing Commissioner & Secretary also inaugurated the e2e-Room and launched the departmental website.
