MOKOKCHUNG — Winning the hearts of the crowds and judges alike by presenting their original song, A&D Youth Fellowship was declared winners of the 35th edition Children Christmas Cake Coral Competition popularly known as C5, organised by the youth department of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) at Town Square (Police Point) on December 21 evening.
Around 800 tiny tots from ten fellowships including United Christian Fellowship, Tongdentsuyong, Arkong, Penli, Kichutip, Salangtem, A&D, A&B, Medical and Aongza enthralled a mammoth gathering of crowd with their Christmas melodies.
Judges of the competition had a difficult time to pick the winners as all the youth fellowships came prepared to win the C5 trophy and the ultimate prize-the Christmas cake.
However, A&D Youth Fellowship with 105 children with their original song “Christmas sempet” (Christmas gift), who came dressed in indigenous and Christmas costume and with their perfect choreography, won the hearts of the judges and crowds to clinch the coveted title.
The Tongdentsuyong Fellowship with 89 children and A&B Youth Fellowship with 101 children won the second and third positions respectively.
