
DIMAPUR — In a bid to foster unity and promote musical talent, the Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) of St. Francis de Sales (SFS) Parish, Kohima, conducted a 'Shine your light: a summer youth talent revue' event on June 17 at Charity School, Kohima.
The event was attended by the Angami Catholic Union (ACU) of SFS Kohima, renowned Naga musician Viriezhünuo Valerie, also known as Virie, and comedian-musician Rokovi Mathew.
Keneilhounyü Daniel, president of the ACU SFS, speaking on the occasion, urged the youth to commit wholeheartedly to their duties and responsibilities while using their talents to glorify the Lord. He encouraged those passionate about music to consider pursuing it as a profession.
Daniel also urged the youth to make this an annual event to cultivate curiosity and engagement. He encouraged them to support one another, regardless of their chosen professions.
The event featured the debut performance of the ‘Shine Your Light Band,’ led by Peteneizo Francis, a choral piece, and various other performances, including a guitar instrumental by Ketou Dominic Zuyie, a visually impaired musician.
