
DIMAPUR — All Commercial Vehicles’ Association (ACVA) in Wokha district observed its 9th foundation day on Wednesday at Lotha Hoho Ki.
Speaking on the occasion, the ACVA president, Renbi Ngullie, stated that the association was formed in 2014 with an objective to work for the uplift of the various affiliated units under ACVA. He added that the association also formed to work for the welfare of its members as well as to provide effective service to the public.
The president also apprised the members about the various grievances effecting the functioning of the association due to multiple taxations. He further appealed to all the members and associated units to extend support and cooperation in order to provide effective service to the people.
During the second session, ACVA decided to extend full support to the six-day ultimatum served by Wokha Village Youth Organisation, Wokha Village Council, Wokha Village Women Organisation, Wokha Village Student’s Union and Wokha Village Elder’s Forum to the district administration to intervene in the ongoing construction of NH-2 starting from 72.40 Km to 83.00 Km to implement as per the specification.
Meanwhile, the association resolved not to extend any cooperation in the form of taxation unless all factions come under one government.

ACVA also appealed to all its members to pay their annual membership fee of INR 100.
The function was chaired by Mathew Jami, general secretary of Mini Truck Union, Wokha, while a song was presented by Zach’s Jeru Ezung and the vote of thanks was proposed by Nchumthung Yanthan. Later, all the associated units participated in the car rally which started from Wokha town local ground.
