Dimapur, Oct. 13: The 4th edition of the Northeast ‘dancing best moms’ is expected to be a grander affair than the previous years’ editions since its inception in 2015. Bollywood actors Hemant Birje and Priyanka Pandit will be joining the event as part of the panel of judges for the grand finale which is to be held at the IMC Hall in Dimapur on December 16.
Organisers updated media persons about the event during a press conference in Dimapur on October 13. Munna Yadav, an actor from Nagaland and part of the movie production group Murti Films Pvt. Ltd., and also the organiser of the ‘dancing best moms,’ said that the event will be a platform for mothers from Dimapur as well as from Dibrugrah, Guwahati, and Tezpur of Assam, among others.
“In 2016, we had more than 40 moms take part in the competition and this year we hope there will be more as many mothers from different districts and towns will be coming,” Yadav informed. He acknowledged the managing director of Everyday Salt, Naresh Jain, for supporting the event by being the main sponsors since 2015. “Without Everyday Salt, bets dancing moms won’t have been possible and all success is because of Everyday Salt,” Yadav said adding that the concept of a “social movement” for mothers came up with the help of Naresh Jain.
“I urge Dimapur mothers to come forward and compete with other moms from the different states also,” Yadav said. The auditions will be held on November 18 at Hotel Silhouette, at Kali Bari Road in the city.
“Most mothers are busy and there is a constraint of time for them so we made it two rounds which are the auditions and grand finale,” the actor said. This year’s winner will receive INR 50,000, the first runner-up INR 20,000 and the third runner-up INR 10,000, and with trophies and certificates for each.
Also, Yadav announced the release of his next film titled ‘Rowdy SP’ due for 2019.
Naresh Jain, the managing director of Everyday Salt expressed excitement over this year’s edition of the NE ‘dancing best moms’ not only because it has come this far but for the first time in the country, a salt company would be adding gold and silver coins in its salt pack for some lucky customers.
“Everyday Salt, apart from being a sponsor has decided to make an offer available for its consumers where some packets will have 1, 2 or 5 grams of either gold or silver coins for the lucky ones,” Jain said. The idea came up because of the festive season going on, the organisers said.
“The lucky people who get any coin in their salt packet should Whatsapp a picture of their win to the number given in the packet so that others know that this is very much legitimate,” Jain maintained. He said Everyday Salt, from Dimapur, is a leading brand in the Northeast with over approximately 2.5 crore consumers in the region alone.
