Acme Club Kuhuboto, in collaboration with Kuhuboto Town Student’s Union (KTSU) organized cleanliness drive in Kuhuboto town on April 16 in which Alongdhimen Jamir, SDO (Civil), inaugurated garbage dump constructed and donated by Acme Club.
Shikiho Yeptho, pastor of Kuhuboto Town Baptist Church, invoked God’s blessing and short speech was delivered by SDO (Civil), where he emphasised on the need to maintain clean surroundings.
Also speaking at the function, Numato A Zhimomi, president of Kuhuboto Town Students’ Union, encouraged the citizens and students community to take pledge towards keeping the town clean.
Semato J Assumi, president of the Acme Club, highlighted on the formation of the club. He mentioned that Acme Club was formed for socio-economic progress and uplift of the underprivileged. Acme Club with the motto ‘Service above self’ is committed to serving the society with more social programmes in the near future, he said.
Acme Club members along with the students from various schools in Kuhuboto town, business community and citizens undertook mass social work in and around Kuhuboto town.
