Acharya, Rio send Diwali greetings

Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): On the occasion of Diwali, Governor PB Acharya and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Hindu community. A Raj Bhavan statement on Tuesday read: “Let us light the lamps of compassion, love and righteousness. Let us resolve to fight against illiteracy, inequality, poverty, discrimination and malice and let us promote universal peace and brotherhood in the society.” Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended his greetings to Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali festival via twitter. “May the festival of lights bring goodness, happiness, good health and prosperity. #HappyDiwali,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
