Dimapur, July 7 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have greeted the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Acharya said Tuluni is a festival of great significance for the Sumi community—marked by merrymaking through dance, songs, feast and thanksgiving to the deities for good fortune and blessings.
The governor said that the festival should be a source of building unity.
A message on the official twitter handle of Rio read: “Greetings to the Sumi community of #Nagaland on the occasion of #Tuluni festival. May the celebration bring happiness, prosperity and strengthen bonds. My best wishes for a successful celebration.”
