Dimapur, September : The governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya, has expressed grief at the demise of former diplomat Neichülieü Nikki Haralu. A condolence message from the Raj Bhavan on Saturday called her a ‘source of inspiration’ and ‘a role model.’ The governor expressed sadness at the demise of Neichülieü Nikki Haralu, the first Naga diplomat. ‘As a diplomat she has served in various capacities in the Ministry of External Affairs and in many countries. After her retirement, she served the people of her home state Nagaland as the chairperson of Nagaland State Social Welfare Advisory Board,’ the message read.
“Late Neichülieü Nikki Haralu was a source of inspiration and role model. She proved through her life that Naga women are second to none. She achieved the highest dream / position despite the difficulties during those days.” The governor has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, wishing them God’s strength to bear the loss. Acharya prays for peace of the departed soul.
