Two persons died on spot at Mon town when the truck bearing no.NL 04D/3633 moving towards Mon town from Assam met with an accident. The accident happened early Thursday morning around 4.30 when the truck loaded with hardware goods fell in the 200-ft gorge near FCI Junction.
According to police sources, the victims have been identified as one Md Jiauddin (driver), son of Late Samsur Jamal of Tolemgram village under Cachar distruct Assam and Shikmo Konyak, wife of Nokzing of Tizit village.
Police personnel said deplorable road condition of Mon town caused the accident.
