Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): The Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (Acaut) today clarified that its member, K Savi, is the sole and only officially designated legal advisor and advocate for the organisation.
Acaut issued this notification following reports of certain dubious character claiming to a core member/ lawyer of Acaut and apparently in the habit of lying and bragging. The person in question was also reported to be in the habit visiting government departments, offices and institutions.
Acaut media cell, in a press release, stated that apart from K Savi, currently a few selfless souls and conscientious advocate/lawyers such as CT Jamir, Ms Zhekheli and NM Jamir are representing Acaut in specific cases.
It, therefore, cautioned the departments and public in general that other than official lawyers mentioned above, anyone posing or claiming as advocate for Acaut Nagaland is a fraudster and be bought to the open.
Acaut also stated that it had not authorised any lawyer or so called fake core-member to undertake threats against the departments. It has further cautioned against such fraudsters maligning Acaut’s reputation.
