Dimapur, June 16: Active Learners’ Academy, an institution to groom unemployed youths was inaugurated at Naharbari junction opposite to Hollotoli School in Dimapur on June 16.
Active Learners’ Academy is opposed to traditional way of learning where there is only one-way traffic. It follows a two-way process where mentors and mentee relationship can be explored by way of opening to feedback and coaching.
According to proprietor of the academy, Apem Hongvah, most of the students and educated youths are ‘very passive and laid-back in their approach due to plain ignorance and lack of self knowledge, confidence, guidance, and exposure.’
Through his experiences from working in different institutions, Hongvah said he came up with his own system of groom the youths of Nagaland with an objective to make them active in business communication from the basics.
The academy focuses to train educational unemployed youth, job seekers, civil service aspirants, and college and high school students. The academy will provide soft skill, professional training and coaching for state civil service and class X students.
The proprietor informed that special discount will be given to deserving and less privileged candidates. Free career counselling will be given from Monday–Friday from 9 am to 12 noon. Regular coaching will start from the first week of July.
