Kohima, Sep. 15 (EMN): A four-day ‘Fathers Brigade’ of the Angami Baptist Church Council Thepfuko Krotho (ABCCTK), men department, got underway on September 15 at Baptist College, Sechu campus, in Kohima on the theme “Stand firm with the armour of God” (Ephesians 6:10).
A total of 800 participants including 600 delegates and 200 officials have congregated for the event and divided in four companies namely Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.
Rev. Mekhale Yhoshu, president of Angami Baptist Church Council Thepfuko Krathor (ABCCTK) declared the brigade opened and took salute, while Rev. Megovotuo Kuotsu, president of ABCC, said the opening prayer.
They both expressed happiness at gathering of fathers from over a hundred churches and urged the participants to take the opportune time to learn, excel and progress.
The first day was marked with penalty shootout, followed by devotional service chaired by Kevihoulie Senotsu and Rev. Vicavor Krose as the speaker. Dziesevilie Kesiezie exhorted the members, while Pelesielie Khezhie also shared his testimony.
Various other activities including debate on clean election, tug-of-war, shooting, wrestling besides other talent shows would be held during the four-day conference.
Meanwhile, the speakers for the various sessions are Rev. Dr. Atsi Dolie; Rev. Dr. Rachulie Vihienuo; Rev. Vicavor Krose; Dr. Kethosier Kevichusa; Dr. Hovithal Sothu and Lhouliehunuo Sale.
