Mokokchung, Oct. 17 (EMN): Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM)- the apex body of the Ao churches- is all geared up to organised one of the biggest revival crusade in Ao land irrespective of dominations on the theme “Lord revive us all” (Psalms 85:6) from November 1- 3 at Imkongmeren Sport Complex.
Addressing media persons, Revival Committee convenor Rev. Ponen Longchar informed that 10000 capacity makeshift shed will be built for the three-day revival. He added that the committee has planned to telecast the programme live on local cable and on the internet portals so that Aos scattered across the globe could join in the revival.
ABAM executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger said that the revival is to repent our sin and atone oneself and follow the path of righteousness.
“It was from the mouth of Aos who have boldly spoken about Nagaland for Christ and fight against the evil influence of alcoholism in Nagaland but somewhere down the line we fail to keep our promised to our Lord, therefore it is our sin to be repent and atone ourself through this revival,” Rev. Dr. Mar asserted.
He also added that information has been disseminated to all the sister churches under ABAM and Ao churches spread across the country to join the revival including the 11 Ao legislators and the Governor of Odisha Dr. SC Jamir.
Rev. Dr. Mar has humbly appealed to Ao sisters and brothers in Christ irrespective of dominations to join in the revival.
ABAM president Rev. Dr. Noklen Longkumer and programme committee convener Rev. Lima also spoke at the conference.
It may be mentioned here that after 145 years of ABAM inception, the ensuing revival crusade will be the largest programme.
