Crusading the cause for ‘clean election’ movement in Mokokchung district and thereby eradicate the menace related to election and its malpractice through Christian teachings and values, the Youth ministry under Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang(ABAM) organised a two day bike rally, campaigning for clean elections touching all the six ranges of Mokokchung district in its route.

After the formal

flagging off by ABAM Secretary General, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger at Impur, the biker bunch, consisted of volunteers from different vocations like academicians, lawyers, social workers, young professionals et al.
Riding under the theme, “Your Vote Your Voice, Your Vote Your Future, the campaigners covered all the six ranges of Ao areas clocking nearly two hundred kilometers in two days while making fourteen stop overs at important spots along the designated route to interact and educate the people about the power of exercising one’s franchise honestly.

In every stopovers, the bikers led by Rev. C. Wati Longchar, Dev Supervisor and Toshi Sanglir, Youth Secretary, carried the message of taking accountability in choosing one’s candidates honestly as taught in Christian principles and to make election and its supplemental process a sanctified one inorder to free our land from the shackles binding the Nagas from the chains of our past mistakes.
They also profess the gatherings not to go against any Christian teachings and values during election and remain steadfast in the face of monetary temptations, antioxidants and other related vices.
The rally successfully culminated at Imlong Place, the main square of Mokokchung town where Bendanglila, ADC, Mokokchung hosted the program in the presence of various NGO’s like Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang, Ao Students Conference(AKM), District administration, MTLT and the citizens of Mokokchung town.
