Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): The 53rd Kukami Trophy of the Aqahuto Area Sports Association (AASA) with the theme "unity through sports" concluded at Shokhuvi village in Dimapur on November 30 with Akato Zhimomi, proprietor of Vertex Construction, as the event’s guest of honour.
The trophy began on November 25. This was stated in an update that was received here on Sunday.
Exhorting the gathering at the event, Zhimomi said that people in the region and stakeholders should come together as one for the uplift of the area and move forward for better tomorrow.
Likewise, he said youths today have opportunities in sports if they are sincere and committed besides being hard working, and seek God’s blessing to make a difference in their life through the game, the updates stated.
Shokhuvi village emerged the champions with Kiyeto village as runners-up. Ghowoto village won the men’s volleyball title while Khehoyi village were the runners-up.
Khehoyi village won the women’s volleyball title while Shokhuvi village was placed runners-up.
