The All Assam Students Association (AASA) has appreciated the noble initiative taken by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), in collaboration with Dr. Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy Educational and Welfare Foundation, to provide free higher technical and medicinal education to the students from SC/ST/OBC and Minority communities.
The All Assam Students Association (AASA), in collaboration with the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) had recruited 158 students last year from the State of Nagaland who are now studying in different colleges where the students don’t need to pay the tuition fees and their tuition fees are reimbursed by the scholarship sanctioned to them. AASA has expressed gratitude to the foundation (YSREWF) for approaching and extending their helping hands for the welfare of the student’s community from the northeastern region. AASA vice president, Kawsar Choudhury, said any region can be developed only if the people are educated adding it could be made possible if we make the people aware of the fact that education is the only tool for removing insurgency, backwardness and for the overall development of the region.
AASA has advised the students to be aware and be careful while taking admission as many a time students used to face various kinds of problems after the admission, AASA also appealed to the students to verify all the institution before taking admissions into the institutions and most importantly to check the website of All India Council for Technical Education (www.aicte-india.org).
AASA has appreciated the project taken by NSF as the selected students would not pay any tuition fees, hostel fees (food and lodging), laboratory fees, library fees, special fees for the entire course.
AASA has assured to extend help and assist the Naga Students’ Federation in their noble initiative of promoting and providing free higher education.
