DIMAPUR — Events related to the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan–Responsive Governance Programme, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, were held in multiple locations across Nagaland.

According to an update, the district-level orientation and District Process Lab commenced in Wokha on September 24 at VDB Hall, Wokha town. A two-day village-level workshop under the Aghunato block took place on September 23 and 24 at Town Hall, Aghunato. Also, a village workshop was also organised at Chedema on Wednesday at the village council hall.

The programme is a key component of the national mission to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047, with a cadre of 2 million committed change leaders working toward inclusive and transformative governance.

In Wokha, the training brought together officials and officers from various line departments, with subject-matter trainers facilitating sessions aimed at enhancing responsive governance and grassroots leadership.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Wokha, Vineet Kumar, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative. He mentioned that 35 block master trainers (BMTs) will be trained during the programme, who will then carry forward their work across 53 selected villages in Wokha district. These trainers will play a pivotal role in catalysing development at the village level.

Key objectives of the programme include fostering transformative leadership at the grassroots, charting out five-year vision plans for targeted areas, identifying local challenges and co-creating solutions, strengthening inter-departmental collaboration for effective service delivery, and promoting citizen-centric governance and inclusive development.
