Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima has informed general public that the centre for enrolment of Aadhaar at the office of DC Kohima shall start functioning from May 15.
The enrolment centre for Kohima district is located at Office of the Project Director, DRDA building ground floor, DC office compound, Kohima. The centre shall be opened from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No fee is charged for enrolment except for correction.
For government servants, Aadhaar enrolment counter will be open on 2nd and 4th Saturday.
DC informed that the capacity for enrolment of Aadhaar at the centre is currently 80 enrolments per day. Hence, tokens shall be issued to all applicants for specified dates on the basis of first come first basis.
Aadhaar enrolment centers operating within Kohima district without obtaining prior permission from the State Registrar and Commissioner Nagaland are unauthorized Aadhaar enrolment centres and penalized will be as per law.
As per the requirement of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Government of India, all applicants for enrolment of Aadhaar are required to produce and submit one document each for identity, address and age proof at the time of capturing biometric details.
List of accepted documents are as follows:
Supported Proof of Identity (PoI) documents containing name and photo (anyone) of following: India Passport, PAN card, ration/PDS photo card, Voter ID, driving license, Government photo ID cards/service photo identity card issued by PSU, NREGS Job card, photo ID issued by recognized educational institution, arms license, photo bank ATM card, credit card, pensioner photo card, freedom fighter photo card, Kissan photo passbook, CGHS/ECHS photo card, Address card having name and photo issued by Department of Posts, certificate of identify having photo issued by gazetted officer or Tehsildar on letterhead and disability ID card/handicapped medical certificate issued by respective State/UT. Photo Supported Proof of Address (PoA) documents containing name and address (Anyone of the following): Indian Passport, Bank Statement/Passbook, Post Office Account Statement/Passbook, Ration Card 5. Supported proof of date of birth (DoB) documents (Anyone of the following): Birth Certificate, SSLC Book/Certificate, Indian Passport, Certificate of Date of Birth issued by Group A Gazetted Officer on letterhead, PAN Card, Marksheet issued by any Government Board or University, Government Photo Id Card / Photo identity card issued by PSU containing DoB, Central/State Pension Payment Order Central Government Health Service Scheme Photo Card or Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Photo card.
