The organisers issued a press release stating that the observance of the event was by marked by a march that was undertaken on the theme “a walk against domestic violence," which started from Imlong place police point to the multi-purpose sports complex. The event was flagged off by Sentilong Ozukum, an extra assistant commissioner. A subdivision officer (civil) Dharam Raj, also the nodal officer of Sakhi-OSC for Mokokchung, was the guest of honour at the event. In his short speech, the officer urged the people to speak up against domestic violence in the society. A poster and signature campaign also featured in the event.
