Dimapur, Jan. 14 (EMN): Noted writer Easterine Kire on Friday released a book titled ‘One day at a time,’ written by Sangmaikumba Chang, in Kuda village, Dimapur.
The book is about the spiritual journey of a young man through the darkness of childhood trauma, depression, deception, and emotional conflict and his pilgrimage toward the beacon of deliverance, self-worth and life-affirming existence.
Speaking at the launch event, Kire said that the book would not only help adolescents but also needed by the adults because many people go around with wounded child inside them and do not have the tools for healing.
During a conversation led by Anungla Zoe, a 26-year-old boy spoke about his experiences. He said that he went through bullying, substance abuse and depression.
He also spoke about his joining boxing and going on to won a bronze medal in South Korea.
On the occasion, Rev. Chingmak Chang, father of the author, said a prayer.
