Mokokchung, March 17 (EMN): A book titled “Mungujemba Tesayur Ka” (an unsung hero) written by Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger was released at Whispering Winds conference hall in Mokokchung town on March 17. The book is a biography of late Limasungba of Ungma village, who worked as a pastor in Alisopur and Ungma villages.
The book was officially released by Rev. Dr. Noklen, pastor of Ungma Baptist Church, with a short dedicatory prayer. Rev. Dr. Noklen stated that Limasungba was a personality par excellence whose footprints are in every field. He added that Limasungba was a multi-faceted pastor whose achievements cannot be accomplished by many.
Limasungba was the pioneer in the establishment of Ungma Senso Mungdang and Soyim Student's Union and the first president of SST. He was also the man behind the formation of Ungma Laishir Telongjem, he added.
“It is a book that will inspire and rejuvenate the spirit of God’s servant to use them in his glorious work,” he commented.
L Mongkum Jamir, managing director of Symbios Creations (P) Ltd. and the eldest son of Limasungba and the sponsor of the book, also spoke during the release of his father's biography.
Amenla Mar; Merentuba Longkumer, former pastor of Ungma; and Muthingnyuba Sangtam, MLA, also shared their experiences with the late pastor at the release event.
Meanwhile, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger has thanked every person behind the success of the book. He said that there was so much more to write about Limasungba and hoped that many will be inspired and blessed through his book.
The book was published by TDCC Printing and Publishing House, Mokokchung.
