Dimapur, Nov. 21 (EMN): A book entitled “Biblical Meaning of Dreams and Visions,” authored by Dr. Ruokuozelie Pienyü with a foreword by the principal of Faith Theological Seminary Rev. Dr. Visielie Angami, was officially released by the founder of the House of Prayer Ministry (HPM) Perhielhoulie Pienyü at HPM Hall on NOv. 20.
The author, Pienyü, while introducing the book said that dreams and visions, contemporarily, are the most debatable topics in the church. He said, by its very nature, this book endeavours to show a depiction on which there is various measure of harmony in support with the Bible.
Pienyü also said that dreams and visions are parables with biblical metaphors that typically involve contemporary terms.
“To comprehend them, there are things like animals, plants, places, colors, numbers, objects, characters or symbols that require reflections,” he said.
Besides, he explained that symbols are plentiful in the Bible which tends to suit its mysterious nature. Saying that without symbols definite parts of the Biblical revelation could not be communicated, Pienyü said that when the Bible speaks about God’s nature, eternal things and about eschatological matters, only through symbolism can it communicate to human’s finite mind.
Meanwhile, the Gen. Secy. of HPM Vilakhonuo Pienyü informed the audience that diverse symbols in God’s Word are assembled, confirmed, and interpreted in this book. “This work is written out of a constant commitment to the truth and authority of God’s Word. The interpretations are presented as well as evaluated in the light of God’s Word,” he said.
