Altogether 52 entries across various genres of music will be vying for the honor and prestige of winning at Music Awards of Nagaland (MAN) trophy during the 9th edition of MAN scheduled for Dec. 11 at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur from 5:30 pm onwards. This was stated in a press release issued by Native Trax Society.
The release mentions that the awards will be categorised as Best songs in Gospel, Gospel (Local dialects), Rock (Alternative/ Soft), Rock (Indie), Rock (Metal/ Heavy), Pop (Hindi & Local dialects), Pop (Female), Pop (Male), Hiphop/ Rap, Folk Fusion, Instrumental and EDM genres and Song of the Year award for the most likes, shares and views on Facebook and Youtube.
In addition to these, to acknowledge the work of those working behind the scenes, awards will also be presented in technical categories for Best Music Video, Best Video Director, Best Sound Engineer, Best Producer, Patron Award and Best Lyricist/ Songwriter.
The release further mentions that the entry to this exclusive event will be by invitation only and that it will be a formal affair.
The show is said to be hosted by renowned rapper and VJ Imli Lee a.k.a. Déjà vu.
The guest list and presenters include the who’s who of Nagaland’s music, fashion and beauty industry.
Those giving away awards include a host of big names such as Joe Inakhu, Manager of UDX Band; Kaheli Chophy, Miss Nagaland 2014 and fbb Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland, 2017; Tali Angh, Singer and Songwriter; Bambi Kevichusa, Designer; Longden Longkumer, Musician and Proprietor Note Grid School of Music; Yangerla Jamir, President Mindblowers Club; Dr. Abeny Khuvung, Miss Wokha 2013 and Femina Miss Diva (East) Universe 2014 finalist; Miranda Jamir, President EGON; Akang Longchar, Journalist Morung Express; Akato Rochill, Entrepreneur and Proprietor Native Trends; Jhonny D’Ascoli, Make-up Artist and Tiakumzuk Aier of Dreamz Unlimited and winner of Best Director award from EFIFD Scotland.
The Chief Guest for the evening will be DJ Tali of Music Channel Nagaland who is also said to be one of the most well known names in the Nagaland music industry.

Sunep Lemtur, renowned musician, singer and songwriter who is the frontman of Sunep Assemble Band and proprietor of Sunep Lemtur School of Music.
Menang Jamir founder of M&M MediaWorks a vastly experienced animation, digital filmmaking, motion graphics & VFX professional.
Timothy Wolf, renowned bass player and working musician who has been part of Nagaland’s most well-known bands and is regarded as one of the most talented musicians the state has produced.
Mengu Mepfuo former President of Native Trax Society and frontman and founder member of Native Colors along with Timothy, winners of the 1st Hornbill Rock Contest.
